Events
Join us for a variety of upcoming events dedicated to mental health, connection, and community engagement. We host small and large group opportunities!
Let’s Keep Talking: Book Club Discussion #1
Join us for another mental health-focused community-wide book club! We’ll read the memoir, “Voluntary Madness,” by New York Times bestselling author Norah Vincent. In it, she recounts committing herself to three different mental health facilities to learn more about the world of mental health care – while struggling to find her own health and happiness.
We’ll gather three times to think through themes, see what we learn as individuals and a group, and encourage more open dialogue about mental health. The first discussion is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 19 at 5 p.m. at Blanchardville Public Library!
A Community Shattering Stigma: Mental Health Seminar
Join The P.A.M. Alliance to learn, share, and grow awareness of the importance of mental health through a first-of-its-kind educational seminar! We’re thrilled to welcome author, motivational speaker and content creator Kody Green to deliver the keynote. Kody’s journey has included challenges with drug addiction, incarceration, and serious mental health struggles. Diagnosed with Schizophrenia at age 21, he shares his personal experiences and insights on overcoming adversity, navigating mental health challenges, and rebuilding life after incarceration.
Kody’s remarks will be followed by a question-and-answer session and an Alliance-led small-group breakout activity, along with information on the Alliance’s 2026 accomplishments and 2027 plans. The event will conclude with a special community art project that ultimately will be displayed in downtown windows over the holidays and into the new year.
The event is free, open to the public and will provide light refreshments. We simply ask that you register/RSVP by Wednesday, Dec. 2 for our attendance and planning purposes. Register at this link.
